Qualification
Level 4 Certificate in Stonemasonry is the current NZ qualification. There are strands in Monumental Masonry, Construction Stonemasonry, Natural Stone Fixtures and Fittings with optional strands in Banker Masonry, and Conservation and Preservation. Job opportunities are good and you can be qualified in 2-4 years.
Learn on the job
You can complete the NZQA study modules 'on the job' while working as an apprentice stonemason. BCITO oversee this apprenticeship training under Te Pūkenga Work Based Learning Limited.
